An Informal BBQ Welcome, Held At Bott Mansions

From the 24th February - 3rd March 2002 the Sisters of the Order of Perpetual Indulgence (Sydney) hosted the 3rd World Conclave of the Order of Perpetual Indulgence. The Conclave was attended by fifteen international visitors representing eight international houses with four interstate visitors representing two Australian Houses.
On the 22nd of February an informal welcome barbeque was held at Bott Mansions which spread over three neighbouring gardens. It happened that the event coincided with the birthday of Sister Sparkle Plenty, a founding Sister of the Russian River Order of Perpetual Indulgence in California. It was decided to mark the occasion with a special passionfruit flavoured cake with passionfruit icing, (exotic and rare for our American visitors). Sister Sparkle had been in mourning following a recent bereavement.
