Since 1994, the Sisters have been organising Zoo Walks during the Mardi Gras season for local, interstate and overseas visitors. The Walks begin by meeting at Circular Quay, loading our troupe onto the ferry and setting off across beautiful Sydney Harbour to Taronga Park Zoo.
On arrival, we are met by Zoo Keepers and Volunteers who escort us around for a fascinating tour of particularly interesting Australian fauna, with their intelligent and informative discourses often interrupted by the Sisters reading poems to the animals and sharing old recipes pertinent to the species being viewed at the time!
The Sisters of the Order of Perpetual Indulgence wish to sincerely thank the Staff and Board of the Taronga Park Zoo for their support on these walks.
Gathering at Circular Quay, Sisters exchange revelations and Gathered Faithful wonder what they're getting themselves into!
