Sunday 17th May 2015
On Sunday 17th May in mid-afternoon Sister Salome and Mother CPRII attended the AIDS Candlelight Memorial at the Eternity Playhouse in Darlinghurst.
Listening to the names reminded us of friends, lovers, sisters and social reformists gone from our midst but never from our hearts. Recognising 2-8 names per list for 16 lists was challenging but rewarding.
The gathering was also addressed by Tommy Murphy, the playwright who transformed Tim Conigrave’s work Holding The Man into a captivating stage play.
Light refreshments and chatting followed with CPRII speaking with Tommy Murphy of working with Tim to present Fun, Esteem And Extreme Pleasure Company workshops at ACON many moons ago and also pre-reading two chapters of Holding the Man for Tim before its publication.
The event was a glorious opportunity for reflection and renewal of our commitment to the four tenents.
